Treatment Process

The laser system is compatible with all skin tones, including darker, pigmented or sensitive skin types. During consultation, optimal laser parameters are determined based on individual requirements. Skilled technicians adjust the settings according to the lesion’s size and depth.

The technology specifically targets blood vessels with concentrated energy, which is absorbed by the pigment in the unwanted vessels. This absorption process causes controlled breakdown whilst preserving the integrity of surrounding tissue.

Spider Naevis Treatment FAQs

Q: How long does healing take?

A: It typically takes ten to fourteen days from treatment. You may experience slight bruising in the area. Carefully following post-treatment care is always a must and will help the healing process.

Q: What precautions should I take?

A: We advise that you avoid sun exposure, including sun tanning beds or machines. If your skin is exposed to these rays, it may cause white pigmentation, which can last for around three months, depending on your skin type.

Please see our GentleYAG Patient Care Instructions for more information. You will receive a copy at your initial consultation/patch test.

Q: How long do the Treatments take?

A: Treatment times may vary depending on your specific needs. The number of treatments required will depend on the size and depth of the lesion and the number of lesion you have.
