The Technology:

Skintech LED Light therapy

The cells in our skin can absorb light at different wavelengths and colours. Your skin can use light as a source of energy, which helps to increase energy production and cellular metabolism to regenerate your skin, treat acne, pigmentation and prevent any visible ageing. LED light therapy has been proven safe for all skin types, as it does not produce heat or UV light.

Different colouring LED helps with different skin concerns:

• The blue lighting helps with acne due to the powerful antibacterial properties destroying the bacteria that creates acne.
• The red light helps with anti-ageing as it stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which helps to reduce the signs of ageing, as well as regulating oil production and reducing pore sizes.
• The green light helps with regeneration and treating pigmentation as it lightens and reduces existing pigmentation by targeting the cells that produce melanin – this will improve the overall skin complexion and prevent any future pigmentation.
• The yellow calms the skin and reduces inflammation, so it is ideal for treating conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and rosacea/skin redness.

How many sessions? The recommended course is eight treatments with a minimum of 4 days between each. After this course, it is suggested that you receive this treatment every 6 to 8 weeks for maintenance. You will be able to see visible results after the first treatment, as your skin should seem more hydrated, and any inflammation or acne will be calmer.

What is the treatment like? As this is a relaxing treatment, there is no pain or recovery time after.

Skintech Rotational wet/dry microdermabrasion

Rotational microdermabrasion is suitable for most skin types. It uses mechanical exfoliation to remove dead skin from the area and encourages the newer, fresher skin to rise to the surface. This helps rejuvenate your skin and improve its texture, tone, and quality. This crystal-free treatment is highly effective with shorter treatment time and has improved clients’ experiences.

Mostly ideal for helping with fine lines and wrinkles, ageing skin, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, reducing the size of pores and removing blemishes and age spots.

It is advised to have a course of 8, once a week. After this, treatment is recommended every 4-6 weeks for maintenance. However, you can receive one-off treatments if you’d like to refresh and brighten your skin for a special occasion. Treatment time for the rotational microdermabrasion alone is only 7 minutes, and there is no recovery time needed; however, your skin may look slightly pink after the treatment.

The after-care requires:

• Do not apply heat to your skin or receive any heat treatments for 48 hours after the treatment
• No waxing for 48 hours
• No tanning during the 8-week treatment course
• (Ideally) No makeup 12 hours after the treatment
• Look after your skin; wear a high-factor sunscreen the following day, as your skin will be more sun-sensitive
• Moisturise – you must keep your skin healthy and hydrated between treatments.

Skintech NO-NEEDLE Mesotherapy

Electro mesotherapy breaks down the cell wall and enables the ingredients to be delivered where they are most needed to nourish and target specific skin problems tailored to the individual’s concerns and requirements. This is a quick, pain-free treatment that helps increase hydration, lighten the skin, and stimulate collagen production.

The recommended treatment course is eight sessions, once a week. After this, maintenance treatments every 4-6 weeks are recommended. Each session should last 7 minutes.

The products usually used with this treatment are time defence serum for anti-ageing) and lightening serum, for acne, congested skin and pigmentation. Any additional products will be prescribed by our specialist for home care.

Skintech Radio Frequency Skin Tightening

This treatment uses the latest tri-polar technology. It is a pain-free treatment for skin tightening and produces visible results quickly and effectively. This treatment targets collagen, creating an instant skin-tightening and lifting effect. It stimulates the formation of new collagen and elastin, providing a further tightening effect over time and with successive treatments. Radiofrequency can be used to target unwanted fat and improve the jowls, creating smoother, younger-looking skin.

It is recommended for you to receive a course of 8 treatments, and each treatment lasts 30 minutes or an hour if a mask is advised. After this, maintenance treatments should be performed every 6-8 weeks.

Each of these treatments is non-surgical and will not scar or damage your skin. The procedure is painless, although there may be a bit of discomfort or stinging during the diamond peel microdermabrasion. During the radio frequency treatment, you may feel some warmth in the treated areas, but this should not cause discomfort or pain.

There are no side effects following the treatments and no recovery time needed. There may be some swelling after the treatment, particularly around the eyes, but this has only lasted a couple of days after the treatment and is extremely rare.
